Chapter Book of the Month: Fish in a Tree

Synopsis: Ally is a bright and imaginative middle school student who has dyslexia. She is able to mask her reading difficulties every time she starts at a new school. Ally is ashamed of her inability to read and believes that it is due to her lack of intelligence; however, Ally is very creative and has an impressive ability to visualize. When Ally's teacher recognizes her talents, he helps her to understand that dyslexia is not something to be ashamed of. Soon Ally’s confidence blooms as she learns to read and discovers that not everyone thinks the same.
